Moondogs, The (Canada)

Moondogs, The (Canada)

In 2023 The Moondogs performed at the festival as an acoustic duo but this year they are bringing the whole band! With a new set list including rarely-played Beatles songs, deeper cuts, hit singles and B-sides as well as material from their solo careers.

Robert Stefan and Danny Kerr came to the festival last year as an all acoustic tribute to The Beatles, and will front The Moondogs in 2024 with their dual vocals and harmonies. This year they are joined by Ray Farquhar who plays bass and adds that all-important third voice, as well as Russel Labadie on Drums!

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Robert and Danny have been performing as a duo since 2015 and are local crowd favourites. Often appearing as R&D, they have a large and eclectic repertoire from the last 70 years of popular music, including a vast range of Beatles numbers. They’re one of the most requested acts on the Montreal scene, the same city that The Beatles visited on 8th September 1964 and where the John Lennon’s anthem “Give Peace a Chance” was written and recorded in room 1742 of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
