The Jacaranda

The Jacaranda, locally and affectionatley known as the ‘Jac’, is steeped in Beatles history. It was opened as a coffee bar in the late 1950s by the Beatles’ first manager Allan Williams. The Fab Four frequented this place many times during the band’s formative years and, the lads even undertook some redecorating work here by way of repaying Allan for use of rehearsal space in the basement.

Although the years have seen some changes in ownership, The ‘Jac’ remains a thriving live music venue which keeps its history and heritage at the heart of its business, thus making it another perfect venue for our Beatleweek festival.
