Francis, Mick (Republic of Ireland)

Mick Francis hails from Dublin and has been a regular acoustic performer at International Beatleweek since 2011 as well as attending and playing at many other Beatles festivals around Europe.

Aside from being a professional musician, Mick has also been presenting the Beatle Bug radio show since 1999, live from Dublin. The Beatle Bug has featured many Beatleweek guests, past and present. With a regular international audience, the interactive show also features lots of Beatles rarities, live acoustic performances from the studio, a mellow ‘Chillaxathon’ and the Beatle Bug Bop to enjoy a boogie to. Previous podcasts can be heard on Mixcloud or found on The Beatle Bug Radio Show page on Facebook.

Mick has also extended his Beatles interest from performer and radio presenter to author, launching his book ARTPOP: The Roots & Fruits of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, exploring the influences and influence of The Beatles’ seminal album to coincide with its 50th anniversary: Buy The Book Here!

After a break last year, Mick is back in Liverpool with an eclectic set. Expect plenty of singalongs but also some obscure and rare tracks.
