Beatle Baby Walter!

Beatle Baby Walter Heads to Liverpool’s International Beatleweek Festival!

He’s a social media sensation with his love of Beatles’ tunes and knowledge of Fab Four facts. And now talented tot Walter Bolin is heading for Liverpool, to the home of the most famous band in the world.

The Cavern has invited the American youngster and his parents Eli Bolin and Allison Posner over to the city, where Walter is likely to be one of the youngest fans at this year’s International Beatleweek.

The musical three-year-old, from New Jersey, is so Beatle-mad he happily picks out Lennon and McCartney tunes on the piano or drums along to songs, joins his parents on stage to perform Beatles’ songs, and even asks for bedtime stories about the Beatles visiting his home and asking him to join the band.

His talent made him an internet hit when a family game of Name That Tune on a drive home saw him identify 21 Beatles’ number ones from their opening lines in just two minutes, and the video filmed by Eli went viral online. It has been watched almost 400,000 times on Facebook alone.

Self-confessed ‘Beatlemaniac’ dad Eli, who writes the music for hit TV show Sesame Street, says:

Visiting Liverpool is certainly a lifelong dream and International Beatleweek looks very exciting.

“We are of course delighted that Walter loves the Beatles as well, and that his video has gained some surprising attention.

“We’re overwhelmed and so grateful for the generosity you are extending to us. We’re incredibly excited to come to Liverpool!”

The family is based in Maplewood, New Jersey, where Eli mostly writes music for theatre, including off-Broadway shows like Found, Volleygirls, Skippyjon Jones, and I Sing! which was recently produced at the Drayton Arms Theatre in London.

Along with Sesame Street, his other TV credits include music for Difficult People, Billy On The Street and Kristen Schaal’s standup specials.

Wife Allison is an actress, singer and voiceover artist who has appeared on the New York stage at venues like Feinstein’s/54 Below, Ars Nova, Ensemble Studio Theater, Joe’s Pub, and the Signature Theater. Her voice can be heard on a variety of audiobooks, educational programmes and commercials.

The pair have been huge Beatles fans since they were children, and have passed on that love to son Walter.

Now the whole family is being given a chance to visit the place where it all began.

International Beatleweek runs from August 24-30, and this year special guests include the original Quarrymen, Neil Innes, American journalist Larry Kane, Abbey Road engineer Ken Scott and Paul McCartney’s former press officer Geoff Baker.
